Director of Religious Educaiton
Photons have mass? I didn’t even know they were Catholic!
The Ursuline sisters and Catholic schools in Great Falls got me started. The Jesuits ruined me for life at Seattle University (B.A. Theology & Religious Studies/English) and then with coursework in Biblical languages and economics at the Jesuit School of Theology Berkeley. Over the last ten years, while raising kids made mine by love not blood, I have given myself to needs as varied as Touchmark Retirement Centers, Family Promise, United Way, and Core Control.
Now, what on earth am I doing at SFX? As my friend, Eric, said to me: “I’ve known for 15 years that somehow you are going to be a priest.” He’s right: through Baptism, everyone shares in the priesthood of all believers. My wife, Tanya, is a world traveler and teacher of cultures at Washington Middle School. Tanya and I are blessed to join you and your families following Jesus on the way. We are here to stay, to share the journey. I want to know, whatever your age or background or interests: How are you called to be a priest today? Let’s find out together.
If you want to talk about that, or anything else regarding religious education, youth group, sacramental preparation for Reconciliation, First Eucharist, Confirmation, or RCIA, please reach out if I don’t get to you first. I look forward to our time together at church, as well as at schools, homes, ball fields, the great outdoors, local watering holes, and anywhere else the Holy Spirit leads us. Now is the kingdom and now is the day.
