Hello, I am Deacon Carlton Quamme and for the better part of 27 years, I have been deacon at and part of this wonderful parish we call home. For a brief time I was the interim pastoral administrator of St. Joseph’s in Choteau, St. John’s in Fairfield and St. Matthias in Augusta. I studied at Carroll College and at home for my diaconal ministry for a little over four years. As I look back, I can hardly believe it has been more than 30 years ago since I started on this journey.
I have experienced the joy of giving Communion services in retirement/nursing homes and to people who are confined to their homes in my many years as deacon. I have been able to administer the Sacrament of Holy Matrimony and Baptisms. I have had the privilege of presiding at vigils and funerals. I have found that I can even get up in front of all of you and give a Homily (something I never thought I’d be able to do – God does perform miracles).
I have been married to my wife, Deanna for almost 57 years and we have 6 precious children: Susanne Rene, Cheryl Michelle, Carlton Michael, Brian Paul, Allyson Mae, and Andrea Lynn. I thank God for all my blessings. I can’t begin to imagine my life without God. He is my strength and the One I turn to for everything.
