Scripture Readings for the 6th Sunday of Easter
Opening Hymn: ‘We Gather Together’ #549 Verse 1 & 2
We gather together to ask the Lord’s blessing; He chastens and hastens his will to make known; The wicked oppressing now cease from distressing: Sing praises to his name; he forgets not his own.
Beside us to guide us, our God with us joining, Whose kingdom calls all to the love which endures. So from the beginning the fight we were winning: You, Lord, were at our side; all glory be yours!
Responsorial Psalm: Psalm 66, “Let All the Earth” Let all the earth cry out in joy to the Lord; Let all the earth cry out in joy to the Lord!
An Act of Spiritual Communion
My Jesus, I believe that you are present in the Most Holy Sacrament of your Body and Blood.
I love You and desire to receive You.
Since I cannot at this moment receive You sacramentally, come spiritually into my heart.
I embrace You and unite myself wholly to You. Never let me be separated from You.
Communion Reflection: Anima Christi
Sending Forth: “City of God” # 663
Awake from your slumber! Arise from your sleep! A new day is dawning for all those who weep. The people of darkness have seen a great light. The Lord of our longing has conquered the night.
Refrain: Let us build the city of God. may our tears be turned into dancing! For the Lord, our light and our love, has turned the night into day!
We are sons of the morning; we are daughters of day, The One who has loved us has brightened our way. The Lord of all kindness has called us to be a light for his people to set their hearts free.
Thank you for celebrating with us!
