Purpose:
The purpose of the Spirituality Ministry is to carry on the Jesuit charisms of our parish, especially through the Spiritual Exercises of St. Ignatius Loyola and its adaptations, and in so doing to provide opportunities for grace and spiritual development to those seeking to more fully live as authentic human beings in the presence of an infinitely loving Creator God. This purpose is fulfilled through the work of Jesuit and lay collaboration.
Spiritual formation and enrichment opportunities:
- The Spiritual Exercises in Everyday Life (SEEL) Retreat
- Mark Link’s Challenge 2000 Program
- Ignatian Retreats and Days of Prayer
- Spiritual Direction
- Preparation and on-going Formation of Spiritual Directors
Goals:
- To support programs already in place.
- To identify and address the individual and communal spiritual needs and desires of parishioners:
- To provide and support an integrated experience for all parishioners by working with other parish commissions, specifically, Faith Formation, Parish Life, Liturgy, and Social Justice.
- To respond to the needs of the faithful as identified through ongoing conversation with the parish community. For example, providing days of prayer for specific groups such as Parish Council, Commissions, Youth, Couples.
