Yesterday two stained glass windows were carefully removed from St. Francis Xavier Church including the one pictured here. This window is the largest of all the windows and features the Virgin Mary. Removed from above the main entry of the church, the window was lowered onto a truck and whisked away for restoration. The window had been damaged decades ago and is in desperate need of restoration. It will be several months before this window is restored to it’s proper place at St. Francis Xavier along with the other window that was removed from the sacristy.
