Mary Martha Ministry

The Mary and Martha Knitting Ministry

A ministry of making Prayer Shawls for our parishioners who are ill and in need of prayerful comfort and strength during their illness.  All shawls are made with prayerful intentions and are blessed when finished for the receiver of the shawl.

Meets on the 3rd Monday of the month from 11:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. in the parish office. (September thru May). Instructions on how to knit and supplies provided. Can’t come to the monthly meeting? Knitting on your own to make Prayer Shawls is also appreciated.

Please contact our Parish nurse Kelly Scariano at kscariano@sfxmissoula.org if you have a request for a shawl for a loved one.

Shawls are created with prayers for comfort, healing and strength going into each stitch the knitter or crocheter makes. Most of the time the person to receive the shawl is not known at the time of knitting/crocheting. Prayer are for healing in body, mind, spirit and relationships.
